The Arctic Frontiers 2026 conference will take place in Tromsø, Norway and digitally from 2-5th February 2026. The abstract submission period is currently open (deadline October 3rd) and there is a relevant academic session for the Food from the Ocean community. ‘Arctic Transformation: Climate Change and Cumulative Effects on the Ecosystem’ is co-organised by the Institute of Marine Research, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway and UNIS – The University Centre in Svalbard. The session calls for relevant research on the following topics:

  • Ecosystem reorganisation and marine dynamics
  • Cumulative impacts from overlapping stressors
  • Life at the extreme: Central Arctic Ocean Ecosystems
