The Council on Ethics recommends that the exclusion of Hanwha Corp from investment by the Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG) be revoked. The company has been excluded since 2007 due to its production of cluster munitions. This activity has now ceased, thereby eliminating the grounds for the company’s exclusion.
The Council on Ethics submitted its recommendation 27 May 2021. Norges Bank published its decision to exclude the company on 29 September 2021.
