{"id":381985,"date":"2020-02-10T11:47:50","date_gmt":"2020-02-10T10:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nettsteder.regjeringen.no\/ansvarlignaringsliv2\/?p=381985"},"modified":"2020-02-10T11:49:12","modified_gmt":"2020-02-10T10:49:12","slug":"specific-instance-industri-energi-dno-asa-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nettsteder.regjeringen.no\/ansvarlignaringsliv2\/news\/specific-instance-industri-energi-dno-asa-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Final statement in specific instance Industri Energi &#8211; DNO ASA II"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"text-wrap post-content clearfix\"><p>The National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct Norway has concluded the specific instance and issued the final statement.<\/p>\n<p>DNO ASA is not found to be in violation of the OECD Guidelines for responsible business conduct but is encouraged in the future to respect the National Contact Point grievance mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>The specific instance concerns a complaint from Industri Energi where it claimed that DNO had not complied with Yemeni law concerning pay and working conditions for former employees. Industri Energi claimed that this was a violation of the recommendations set out in the OECD Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the demanding situation in Jemen and DNO\u2019s unwillingness to transparent participation in processes before the NCP, the NCP has not succeeded in establishing whether DNO has failed to comply with domestic (labour) law and thus failed to comply with the OECD Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>The NCP recommends that DNO in future:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 respects the NCP\u2019s grievance mechanism, which is a key element in the OECD Guidelines, and cooperates with the NCP in good faith, and<br \/>\n\u2022 maps what constitutes comparable pay conditions in Yemen, and applies them<br \/>\n\u2022 follows up its promise to enter into agreements on pay and back payment in line with Yemeni law.<\/p>\n<div class=\"highlight\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/files.nettsteder.regjeringen.no\/wpuploads01\/blogs.dir\/263\/files\/2020\/02\/Press-release-Final-statement-Industri-Energi-DNO-II-2020.pdf\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-382047\">Press release<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/files.nettsteder.regjeringen.no\/wpuploads01\/blogs.dir\/263\/files\/2020\/02\/ENG-Final-statement-Industri-Energi-DNO-II-FINAL.pdf\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-381999\">Final statement Industri Energi &#8211; DNO II<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nettsteder.regjeringen.no\/ansvarlignaringsliv2\/industri-energi-dno-asa-ii\/\">Documents relevant to the case<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct Norway has concluded the specific instance and issued the final statement.
